What You'll Learn at Wild Heart Riding School
Meet Our Lesson Horses
MEET OUR TEAM
What You'll Learn in Three Months
at Wild Heart
Casual Trotters

You'll learn how to walk and trot with your horse. It's like learning how to walk all over again, but this time, you're on a horse!

Dedicated Gallopers

If you ride with us for 2-3 hours each week, you'll start to canter. That means you'll go faster, and it'll feel like running in the wind with your horse!

For Everyone

All riders will make new horse friends and learn to be patient and pay attention. You'll get really good at understanding what horses want to tell you without words, which can help you with people, too.

You'll become kinder and smarter in talking to others, at home or in school.
And yes, you might feel a bit sore from riding, but that just means you're learning and getting better!
Is It a Good Fit for You?
Horse riding is a good fit for you if:

Your child loves animals and the outdoors.

You're looking for an activity that encourages responsibility, patience, and empathy.

You want your child to spend less time on screens and more time building confidence and independence.

Your family values hands-on experiences that promote emotional growth and life skills.

Whether your child is a complete beginner or has a bit of experience,
our program is designed to meet them where they are and help them flourish.
What Age Should My Kid Be?

Our program is tailored for children aged 6 and up.

At this age, kids can safely interact with horses, learn riding techniques, and begin to absorb the deeper life lessons that come with caring for and working alongside these amazing animals.

If your child is younger, we can offer a condition-based analysis to assess whether or not they’re ready for riding lessons with us.

Our Program

Our next 3-month program kicks off July 30th, 2025. At the end of the program, you'll have the option to continue your enrollment or discontinue. You can also adjust the frequency of lessons to match your child's desired progression.

It will include:

Horsemanship Lessons: Teaching kids how to groom, tack up, and care for their horse.

Riding Skills: A structured progression from walking to trotting, and for those attending more frequently, the ability to canter confidently.

Building Connections: Activities designed to foster trust and teamwork between kids and their horses.

Progression Based On Frequency
1-2 Times a Week

By the end of the program, your child will be able to walk and trot comfortably.

4-5 Times a Week

With this commitment, they'll progress to advanced skills like cantering and developing a deeper understanding of horsemanship.

About Us

At WildHeart Riding School, we believe it’s never too early—or too late—to fall in love with horses.

Whether you’re bringing your child for their first ride, getting back into the saddle after a break, or learning something new just for you—this is your place.

We welcome riders of all ages and experience levels with open arms (and soft muzzles!).

We care deeply about both our riders and our horses. They share equal importance here.

Every horse in our program is treated like family—never overworked, always respected, and cared for with high-quality, professional equipment.

As of today, 17 amazing horses are part of our lesson program, each one with their own personality and purpose.

You’ll notice the difference right away. We invest in our horses’ well-being so they can give you their best—calm, confident, and ready to connect.

Our instructors teach English and Western styles in both private and group formats, and every lesson is adapted to meet your comfort and goals.

We also have a covered arena, so even when the weather turns, your ride goes on.

FAQ

As soon as your child is able to focus and follow directions, they can start—typically around age 6.

Wear comfortable pants and a fitted shirt. Closed-toe shoes with a small heel are safest. We provide helmets if you don’t have one.

Not at all! Most of our riders are beginners. You just need a great attitude and love for horses—we’ll help with the rest.

Pricing varies depending on whether you book private or group lessons. We usually start with an introductory lesson, which is discounted to $40 and includes 20 minutes in the saddle. Horses and tack are included—no hidden fees.

Safety is always a priority. We pair riders with gentle horses and provide full supervision. But—it’s a sport. You should be mentally prepared that one day, you might fall. We teach you how to fall safer, too.

Both are available. Private lessons offer focused attention, while group sessions add a social, confidence-building element.

Each lesson includes about 30 minutes in the saddle, plus 15–30 minutes of horsemanship (grooming, tacking, groundwork). It’s a full experience, not just riding time.

Nope! We provide the horse, tack, and all necessary equipment. Just bring your curiosity and energy.

If you’re able to walk, move around, and listen to instruction—you can ride. Riding builds strength and balance as you go.
